The United States of Mobile Gaming

According to eMarketer, there will be 121 million US mobile gamers in 2013. For 2014, that number is expected to reach 141 million, approximately 44 percent of the U.S. population. That makes mobile gaming the fastest growing of all digital gaming categories.

The evolution of mobile gaming is clearly linked to the rapid rise of mobile devices. In December 2012, 125.9 million people in the U.S. owned smartphones; which equates to a year on year rise of 22 percent.
