Throughout the years, social media platforms have become sources for different kinds of behavior in France: searching for news, information on brands or interacting with pages of NGOs for instance. Furthermore, looking at the uses of French aged between 16 and 25 years old, it appears that young adults rather used social networks as Instagram and Snapchat - both specialized around image and video sharing.
Personal data concerns
This shift in social media usage can also be a consequence of a growing distrust of French Facebook users in the platform: 67 percent of users surveyed on this topic stated being concerned about the use of personal data on Facebook.
