Massive rise in online dating-related crimes

As the number of people using online dating services has increased, so too has the number of crimes related to their usage. According to figures obtained by Sky News from Police UK, there has been a 383 percent jump in reported offences which were connected to online dating. Breaking down those crimes, in 2016, 106 were sexual and a further 240 were classed as violent - marking an increase of 657 and 728 percent since 2011, respectively.
