Britain: bad 2017, better 2018?

According to a new survey by YouGov, the majority of Brits feel 2017 was a bad year for the country. Only 11 percent of respondents said it was a good twelve months for the country, perhaps symptomatic of the rising anti-Brexit sentiment and generally unstable political climate. Looking ahead, optimism just about beats pessimism for 2018 with 29 percent saying they feel the coming twelve months will be better and 24 percent saying it will be worse.
