Where Irish women who have abortions in the UK come from

As part of Irish news website TheJournal.ie's coverage of the upcoming abortion referendum in Ireland on May 25, Statista helped create several infographics concerning the number of Irish women travelling to the UK for terminations. The following chart uses UK Department of Health data to show the countries where Irish women/girls who had abortions in the UK came from in 2016. The vast majority, 1,175, travelled from Dublin while 241 were from Cork. In 520 cases, the county was not specified.
