A third of NBN customers regret making the switch

Approximately one-third of National Broadband Network (NBN) customers would switch back to their previous service provider if given the chance, according to research from finder.com.au. Despite the justification for the NBN’s $50 billion AUD price tag being a faster, more reliable service than Australia’s ageing copper network, the main concerns of those wishing they could switch back relate to speed and reliability.

A combined 22 percent of respondents wish they could switch back due to problems with reliability or speed, while just 11 percent wanted to switch back due to cost or value for money. Switching back is not an option, as the existing copper services will be cut off 18 months after a suburb is declared “NBN-ready”.
