Americans Consume 60 Hours of Electronic Media per Week

According to Nielsen, the average American watched 35 hours of TV every week in 2012. That's more than 5 hours per day and a clear sign that TV isn't going anywhere in the foreseeable future. In total, Americans consume a whopping 60 hours of electronic media every week. That includes TV, radio, internet usage, online video, video game, mobile video and DVDs/Blu-Rays. Adding to this the time that people spent on their mobile phones, which Nielsen does not consider here aside from mobile video, it is a surprise that anybody gets anything done, ever.

Description

While experts are busy arguing about when traditional TV should officially be declared dead, people continue to do what they have always done: they watch TV.
