Germans Struggle To Forge Neighbourly Connections

When it comes to closeness between neighbours in the European Union, the United Kingdom and Germany are at the very bottom of the scale, according to the Third European Quality of Life Survey. Neighbours have a greater connection in Spain where 78.2 percent of respondents agreed that they feel close to those in their local communities. The same trend manifested itself in the Netherlands and Ireland. In comparison, just 58 percent of people in the United Kingdom and Germany felt a close bond with their neighbours.
