Considerable age gap on immigration's importance

In the run up to the British general election, immigration is a key issue. Interestingly, there is a considerable age gap on the immigration debate. Just 29 percent of people aged between 18 and 24 consider "immigration and asylum are one of Britain's most important issues". Among people aged over 60, this rises to 59 percent.
