smart home appliances

How smart are U.S. households?

U.S. consumers have so far been relatively cautious when it comes to smart household appliances, as the latest issue of Statista Consumer Insights shows. This refers, for example, to robot vacuum cleaners or smart microwaves. Around a third of those surveyed in the U.S. have these or similar appliances in their homes. By contrast, Chinese consumers are significantly more open to smart household technology. In India, the world’s most populous country, households are also already quite smart, as the Statista chart shows. Households in Germany, on the other hand, are at a similar level to those in the U.S.
