Apple
Apple's Most Popular Products & Services in the U.S.
While the iPhone still accounts for roughly half of Apple’s revenue, the true strength of the company lies in its tightly integrated ecosystem. By turning iPhone users into multi-device owners and service subscribers, Apple has built a self-reinforcing cash machine.
Data from Statista Consumer Insights illustrates how popular Apple’s hardware and digital services have become in the United States. Unsurprisingly, the iPhone remains the primary gateway into the Apple universe: 40 percent of surveyed U.S. adults state that an iPhone is their primary smartphone. It is closely followed by personal accessories and tablets: 29 percent of respondents report having an iPad in their household, while 27 percent own Apple headphones (i.e. AirPods) and nearly one in four wears an Apple Watch.
Beyond hardware, Apple’s push to monetize its installed base of 2.5 billion devices through services has proven successful. One in five respondents reported using Apple TV+ over the past 12 months placing the streaming platform ahead of Apple Pay and Apple Music, which were used by 19 and 15 percent of respondents, respectively. The HomePod line remains a weak spot in Apple's portfolio. Just 8 percent of respondents reported using Apple’s smart speaker, far behind market leader Amazon at 20 percent.
