Faraday Future miles ahead of other electric cars

At the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, the mysterious American-Chinese company Faraday Future unveiled its first electric car. The FF91 can race from 0 to 60 in 2.39 seconds, thereby beating Tesla’s S Model by 0.011 seconds. According to estimates by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, the FF91 boasts a range of 378 miles on a single charge, beating Tesla’s P100D.

As part of the launch, Faraday Future also unveiled its FFID-system. All drivers of the FF91 are assigned an ID that stores data about their preferences, including a driver’s seating position.

After its CES debut, more than 64,000 car enthusiast reserved the 1,050 horsepower car with the undisclosed price-tag. Compared to the 400,000 reservations that Tesla’s Model 3 with a base price of 35,000 U.S. dollars received, this is relatively low.
