The number of domestic trips to Catalonia, Spain, increased by more than 50 percent in 2021, after having dropped to only 13.5 million in the previous year. Prior to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, this Spanish autonomous community registered more than 20 million domestic trips every year.
