In 2017 global electric vehicle sales crossed the one million threshold and many countries are pushing to increase the number of electric cars on their streets. Currently, China is leading the way with a market share of almost 50%, leaving the U.S. and European countries far behind.
Car manufacturers are pushing to bring out new electric car models and have big plans for the future. The 2017 race for the highest market share was one by BJEV EC180/200 with 6%, followed by the Tesla Model S and the Toyota Prius Gen-2 (both 4%).
