Leading merchandise exporters in Africa 2019
South Africa was the leading merchandise exporter in Africa as of 2019. The country sold goods in the value of roughly 90 billion U.S. dollars. Nigeria followed with an export value of approximately 62.5 billion U.S. dollars. In the same year, merchandise exports in Africa amounted to 470.2 billion U.S. dollars.
