According to the results of a recent study done on the search box visibility of mobile and desktop websites of 26 retailers and brands in the United Kingdom (UK), 62 percent of the surveyed brands had a search icon visible on their mobile websites. About one-third of brands had a full search bar visible on their websites on mobile.

The research was conducted by a Macbook Air using Google Chrome in an Incognito browser and on a Samsung Galaxy Note 20 5G using Google Chrome in an Incognito browser
