Number of organic farming producers in Africa 2000-2019
Africa counted over 850,000 organic producers in 2019. The number increased from nearly 787,000 in the previous year, keeping an overall growth trend observed since 2000. That year, the continent had less than 10,000 organic farmers. Uganda and Ethiopia were the countries with the largest number of organic producers in Africa.
