As of July 2023, around 54 percent of parents and guardians surveyed in Brazil said their male children aged nine to 17 had accessed online ads they deemed inappropriate for their age. Around female children, the share stood at 44 percent. According to the same study, little more than one-third of parents in Brazil bought products their children asked for after accessing online ads.
