Your job

What you do

  • As a Senior UI/UX Designer, you will be responsible for the user interface design and continuous conceptual development of Statista's Research AI tool, the latest innovation to our platform. You analyze the GenAI competitor and detect potentials for our product.
  • You will develop high fidelity mockups based on user flows, wireframes and existing design guidelines. In doing so, you work with a keen eye for detail and pay attention to cross-platform and cross-product consistency in the design language.
  • You are able to spar with UX Designers and stakeholders to develop and refine rough and fine concepts. 
  • As an experienced UI Designer, you always have the user's perspective in mind and at the same time think in a conversion-optimized way. 
  • You iterate each of your developed concepts from a design and user perspective together with the interdisciplinary project team and always have the big picture in mind. 
  • You are able to develop interaction concepts and define basic content of the elements.
  • About ResearchAI product: The team is the newest addition to Statista’s IT department, fostering a startup-like atmosphere with young and motivated people. Our focus revolves around the development and enhancement of ‘ResearchAI’, a cutting-edge RAG (Retrieval Augmented Generation) system. This innovative tool empowers our users with swift and reliable insights across Statista's vast content landscape.As a compact yet agile team we shoulder the responsibilities of designing, constructing, refining, hosting, and maintaining ResearchAI. Our ongoing efforts are directed towards enhancing the tool’s reliability, speed, and cost-effectiveness. The ultimate objective is to seamlessly integrate ResearchAI into the daily interactions of most of our platform users, catalyzing a transformative shift in how users engage with Statista and its wealth of content.
Your skills

Who you are

  • You have successfully completed a degree or training in the field of interaction design, information design, communication design or similar and have several years of experience as a user interface and user experience designer for digital products. 
  • You have relevant experience in working with design guidelines, pattern libraries and the application of human interface/material design guidelines. 
  • You are confident in using Figma, Miro or comparable design and wireframe tools. 
  • You work creatively, structured and independently and are not afraid to question ideas and concepts to achieve the best result considering a holistic user experience. 
  • As an experienced UI designer, you have a good sense for innovation, intuitive ideas and designs and are always looking for new UI/UX trends to share within and outside your team. Creative exchange within your team is very important to you. You inspire with ideas and can give constructive feedback based on your experience. 
  • You have a good command of German and English and are able to conduct meetings in English.

Who you will be working with

In our Platform design team, we focus on the holistic optimization of the entire Statista platform to provide a positive and intuitive user experience. We work closely with our internal clients to develop customized solutions and implement them visually. We take care of a wide range of tasks, including the further development of our design system, video and motion, and topics such as branding or creative campaign conception.
