How Back to School Shoppers Use Technology

Accounting for an estimated $27 billion in sales this year, back to school season is the second biggest shopping season of the year. Every year, millions of parents open their cheque book to get their kids ready for the new school year. In many states, school starts on the day after Labor Day, which is celebrated on the first Monday of September.

Despite the fact the majority of back to school spending still happens in physical stores, technology does play an increasingly large role in parents’ shopping behavior. According to a recent Deloitte report, parents use PCs and mobile devices for a variety of purposes during back to school shopping.
