Are eSports Real Sport?

The rise of esports has been pretty impressive but according to a new survey by Morning Consult, its recognition is currently far from widespread and even among those who have heard of it, those seeing it as a real sport is also low. When looking at all U.S. adults only 34 percent are aware of esports, while only 18 percent would consider it an actual sport. It's clearly still a young person's game, too, with these shares increasing to 59 percent and 37 percent respectively.
