Politicians Have More Twitter Clout than Media

Over the last month, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has been able to bypass some of her senior Congressional colleagues to generate the most retweets and likes on Twitter than any other politician, except for President Trump. In addition to bypassing her senior colleagues, AOC has also generated more interactions than all media organizations on Twitter.

Her personalized and active account has over 11 million interactions within the last month, while CNN has only about 3 million retweets and likes in that same time frame. Both are still blown out of the water by President Trump, whose very active account managed to generate 39 million retweets and likes.
