Kanye West

Is Kanye Really Headed for the West Wing?

U.S. rapper Kanye West has officially kicked off his campaign for the 2020 presidential election with an unconventional rally in Charleston, South Carolina. With 2020 shaved into his head, he outlined some of his potential policy decisions if he makes it to the oval office such as every baby getting a million dollars and that marijuana should be free. So, is Kanye really heading for the west wing or is the whole thing just a publicity stunt considering that he has a new album due for release on Friday?

A poll from YouGov has found, somewhat unsurprisingly, that the vast majority of Americans are not taking his bid seriously with just over 60 percent considering it a publicity stunt. Just five percent think his campaign is legitimate. Will he actually appear on state ballots though? While West has been missed the deadline to qualify in several states, he has qualified to appear on Oklahoma's ballot.
