2020 Election

Who Won the VP Debate

A CNN/SSRS flash poll after the vice-presidential debate concluded last night had a majority of U.S. voters saying Biden's running mate Kamala Harris "did the best job" over the 90 minutes. A total of 38 percent thought Vice President Pence came out on top, while 3 percent thought the performances were equal. Naturally, each campaign claimed that their VP pick had the better night.

Nevertheless, the debate is not expected to have swayed many voters to change their minds. As one outlet described it, the debate was "polite and well-mannered, but evasive and forgettable", while the BBC went so far as to say the debate was "outshone by a fly".
