America's Top Online Fashion Shops

A Chinese company is the biggest online fashion retailer in the U.S. in 2021: Shein - founded 2008 in Nanjing, China - is selling Chinese-made apparel directly to consumers all over the world via the internet, reaping big profits in the process. The United States is the biggest market for the online retailer, according to ecommerce DB. Last year, the company grossed almost $5.8 billion stateside with its trendy, fast-fashion digs.

Traditional department stores are also still high on the list of America's biggest online fashion stores. Macys.com comes in second place, having generated revenues of almost $5.6 billion with online fashion sales in 2021. Kohl's comes in rank six, while Nordstrom is in seventh place. Big box retailers Walmart and Target also made it to the top 10 last year with their internet apparel sales, while online everything-store Amazon even made rank 3. Just two companies on the list are online-only retailers: Shein and Stitchfix.com, which has been winning customers with a personalized model of customizable shops and curated shipments based on user preference.
