Arab World Widely Supportive of War on ISIS

American wars in the Middle East have always proven unpopular in Arab states but Obama's campaign against Islamic State militants in Iraq and Syria is turning out to be a rare exception. According to a poll carried out by the Arab Center for Research and Policy Studies, a majority in all seven countries surveyed (and Syrian refugees) support western led airstrikes against ISIS. Support reached its zenith in Lebanon where 68 percent and 8 percent of those polled indicated "strong support" and "support" respectively. 75 percent of Iraqis also support the bombing campaign, along with a 56 percent majority across the region.
