Who Is Skeptical About Vaccinations?

Around one in five people said they have little trust in the safety of vaccines in a 35-country-wide survey by Statista Consumer Insights, conducted between April 2024 and March 2025. Of the countries polled, respondents in Turkey and Hungary were most skeptical about vaccination, with 35 percent and 33 percent, respectively saying that they did not trust such shots. Far higher levels of trust were seen in China and South Korea, where only 11 percent and 6 percent of respondents said they doubt the safety of vaccines. As this chart shows, adults in the United States were slightly less trusting than the 35-country average, with just under one in four saying they have little trust in the safety of vaccinations.
