Black Friday: American Shoppers Hunt For Fashion & Tech Deals

In a Statista Consumer Insights survey conducted this fall (October 28 to November 5, 2024), American adults were asked in which product categories they expect to find the best deals on Black Friday & Cyber Monday, the flagship promotional events of November. As our chart shows, clothing tops the list, cited by 50 percent of respondents, followed by consumer electronics (48 percent) and shoes (38 percent).

Regarding spending at Black Friday & Cyber Monday, the same survey revealed that around 60 percent of U.S. adults are likely to shop during the 2025 edition, with 37 percent very likely. Nearly a third of respondents (32 percent) believe they will spend as much as last year, and 35 percent think they will spend more, whereas 16 percent expect to allocate a smaller budget.
