Leading motivations of German tourists to visit Japan 2022
According to a survey conducted in the departure lobbies of Japanese airports and seaports throughout 2022, for over 94 percent of German tourists eating Japanese food was one of the main motivations to come to Japan. Japanese cuisine was followed in popularity by nature and scenery sightseeing as well as experiencing Japanese history and cultur, which were both mentioned by the majority of respondents.
