Before the outbreak of coronavirus COVID-19, the outbound travel from China was expected to grow during the first week of Chinese New Year in 2020. From January 24 to 30, the outbound traffic growth in the second tier cities was projected to be up by 28 percent. However, the travel ban in China against the coronavirus spreading would very likely affect the global tourism.
