Chinese FDI stock to technology and scientific sector in Africa 2013-2016
The total stock of Chinese foreign direct investment (FDI) to the scientific research and technological services sector in Africa amounted to 1.91 billion U.S. dollars in 2016. Compared to the preceding year, this was an increment in value, growing from 1.46 billion U.S. dollars. Overall, Chinese FDI stock to the scientific research and technological services sector in the African continent increased gradually. It is worth noting that the construction sector recorded the highest Chinese FDI stock in 2019.
