Number of elderly people receiving health management in health centers in China 2022
In 2022, China's primary healthcare institutions provided healthcare management services for more than 127 million elderly patients, representing an increase of 7.67 million from the previous year. More than 90 percent of these institutions can now issue prescriptions for elderly patients for up to 12 months. In China, healthcare institutions at grassroot level include community health service centers (stations), township health centers, village clinics, and outpatient departments.
