In 2019, hotels were by far the most popular type of accommodation for domestic business trips in Italy. Data show that domestic business travels that included a hotel stay consisted of 70.5 percent of all trips. Moreover, roughly eight percent of domestic business trips related to stays at rented houses or rented rooms in 2019.

Specialized collective facilities include: residences for physical/beauty treatment, volunteer work camps and holiday camps, places in means of public transport (couchettes, sleeping cars, etcetera), congress and conference centers.
Other collective facilities include: holiday villages, campsites, marinas and other collective facilities.
