Share of people who trust news media in select European countries 2017

This statistic shows the share of people with and without populist views who stated that they trust news media in eight Western European countries in a survey from October to December 2017. Based on the survey in late 2017, 47 percent of people with populist views in Germany trusted the news media. By way of comparison, the corresponding figure for those with non-populist views was 78 percent.
