In 2019, 59 percent of the respondents stated that they believed that the Members of Parliament failed in developing their constituency, down from 66 percent in 2016.

Note: The original survey question was phrased as follows: "Has your Member of Parliament (MP) engaged in addressing issues and development of the constituency over the last 5 years?".

The survey is in reference to the government formed after the 2014 general elections, which is the 16th Lok Sabha. The legislative term is for a five year duration. The elections are scheduled to be held in 2019.

*For the year 2019, the share of results was obtained from the participation of 7,800 of the 65,000 people who responded to this particular poll.
