The low-cost airline AirAsia generated revenue of around 14.69 billion Malaysian ringgit in 2023, a significant increase from around 6.44 billion Malaysian ringgit in the previous year. The year 2021 marked the lowest figure within the decade, as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic and its measures. The Malaysian airline operates in 25 countries, mainly with international flights, but also with local offshoots such as AirAsia Indonesia, Thai AirAsia, AirAsia India or Philippines AirAsia.
