According to the survey about live streaming e-commerce in China, about 36.5 percent of respondents claimed that they had purchased clothing and apparel in an online streaming sale. Approximately 24 percent of respondents bought consumer electronics during live streaming before. Live streaming shopping is a fast growing e-commerce trend in China which emerged in recent years.

The survey was conducted among respondents:
43.51 percent female and 56.49 percent male;
1.4 percent aged below 18 years, 29.47 percent between 18 and 25 years, 42.11 percent between 26 and 35 years, 14.04 percent between 36 and 45 years, 11.93 percent between 46 and 60 years, 1.05 percent aged above 60 years;
59.8 percent office workers, 18.6 percent freelancers, 11.13 percent students, and 9.47 percent others.
