A January 2020 survey asked U.S. travelers about their preferred sources of inspiration for future domestic trips. Roughly six in ten respondents claimed to take inspiration from direct opinions of friends and relatives. Meanwhile, about 40 percent of the survey sample stated that they used online media as a source of inspiration for domestic travels.
