Get in touch with us nowAnnual changes in the emissions of greenhouse gases (GHG) in Spain have oscillated during the period in consideration. The largest increase in GHG emissions, when compared to the previous year, was observed in 1999, with emission levels rising by some 7.7 percent. On the other hand, the most significant drop took place in 2020, with GHG emissions being reduced by more than 12 percent in comparison to the year before. This decline was mostly the result of the coronavirus pandemic and the restrictions imposed. Two years later, however, Spain's emissions had increased once more by some two percent.
