Hotel occupancy rate in the Shanghai Pudong Expo area in China 2013-2018
From 2013 to 2018, the occupancy rate of the seven major upper-upscale and upper-midscale hotels in the Shanghai Pudong Expo area in China rose from 58 percent to 74 percent. In 2018, around 2,960 room nights were available in the seven hotels. The steady occupancy rate growth was stimulated by the Shanghai Free Trade Zone establishment and the opening of the National Exhibition and Convention Center.
