Volume of loaded and unloaded goods in Swedish ports 2018, by region
In 2018, the region of West Sweden accounted for the highest volume of loaded and unloaded goods in ports, reaching a total of 73 million metric tons. In comparison, 14.4 million metric tons of goods was handled in Stockholm, with 4.7 and 9.7 million metric tons of loaded and unloaded goods, respectively. During that year, Middle Norrland handled the lowest share of freight by ship, reaching 6.3 million metric tons of goods.
