Life insurance written premiums in Norway 2011-2018

From 2011 to 2018, the value of gross written premiums by life insurance companies on the domestic market in Norway has been fluctuating. The highest value was reported in 2012 at over 11.2 billion euros. In comparison, in 2018, the life insurance premiums written amounted to approximately ten billion euros which was 1.15 billion less.
The United Kingdom had the highest value of life insurance premiums among all European counties in 2018, followed by France and Italy. Together, the top three countries accounted for more than 60 percent of the European market.
