Leading motivations of tourists from Hong Kong to visit Japan 2019
According to a survey conducted in the departure lobbies of Japanese airports and seaports throughout 2019, for 71 percent of tourists from Hong Kong eating Japanese food was one of the main motivations to come to Japan. Japanese cuisine was followed in popularity by shopping as well as nature and scenery sightseeing, both of which were mentioned by a majority of respondents.
