Public opinion on the insurance industry in England, Scotland, and Wales 2019-2023
Public opinion among British adults on the insurance industry was mostly unfavorable in recent years. In November 2023, 16 percent of British respondents had a very unfavorable view of the sector and a further 28 percent had a somewhat unfavorable opinion. Only two percent had a very favorable perception of the industry. Nonetheless, the average weekly household spending on insurance in the UK remained above 18 British pounds since 2019.
