Latin America: exports share 2017, by technology intensity
In 2017, commodities were the most exported kind of goods from Latin America, accounting for 34 percent of all exports from the region. In that year, medium-technology manufactures were the second most exported kind of merchandise. In contrast, low-technology manufactures accounted for only nine percent of the region's exports. In that year, the major destination of exports from the region was the United States.
