In 2018, the prevalence of depressive disorders in Belgium varied greatly per region. For instance, the prevalence of depressive disorders in Flanders was lower than the country's average of 9,4 percent. Meanwhile, with a prevalence of 13,8 percent, the share of the population suffering from a depressive disorder was twice as high in Wallonia than in Flanders.
