Hydrogen demand projection in the U.S. 2050, by end use
Hydrogen demand in the United States is projected to reach up to 73 million metric tons by 2050, considering an ambitious deployment scenario. In the ambitious scenario outlook, hydrogen demand will be largely driven by its use as transportation fuel. Transportation fuel consumption could be as high as 27 million metric tons per year, should hydrogen be promoted as an economic growth driver on a federal level.
