The global demand for hydrogen is expected to nearly double between 2021 and 2030. In 2021, worldwide demand for hydrogen stood at 94.3 million metric tons per annum. Most hydrogen is consumed in the chemicals and refining sectors and still largely derived by using fossil fuels.
