Quarterly unemployment rate in Hungary 2019-2022
Over the observed period, the unemployment rate in Hungary oscillated. As a consequence of the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak, the share of unemployed Hungarians between the ages of 15 to 74 years old peaked in the second quarter of 2020 and in the first quarter of 2021 at 4.5 percent. This figure decreased over the following period and totaled 3.9 percent in the fourth quarter of 2022.
