Sustainable tourism is a way of traveling that focuses on minimizing the harmful impacts of tourism on the natural environment. A global survey in 2020 revealed that 48 percent of respondents believed it was important to choose environmentally-friendly travel options. In comparison, 12 percent of respondents did not agree that choosing an eco-friendly travel option was important.
